British Waterways Announce Overnight Closures on the Wolverhampton Level

7th April - BW have today detailed overnight closures for lock flights accessing the Wolverhampton level.

It’s All Systems Go for 2010

Despite concerns over water availability the 25th Black Country Boating Festival will take place at the Bumble Hole Windmill End, Netherton September 10th - 12th 2010.

The festival organisers are working closely with British Waterways to ensure that water levels are maintained for all canal users and that those boats wanting to attend the festival are able to do so.

Can You Help ?

Just like the majority of canal based events the Black Country Boating Festival relies entirely on volunteers to ensure its success.

We always need help over the festival weekend but are also looking for volunteers to assist with the pre-event activities.

If you can spare an hour or two during the the festival weekend or wish to take a more active role in the

organisation of the event then we want to hear from you.
